Admiralty/Maritime/Personal Injury/Workers' Compensation
In our admiralty and maritime practice, we represent injured workers across the country in claims pursuant to the Jones Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (LHWCA) / Defense Base Act (DBA), and other laws designed to help longshore, harbor and maritime workers. This includes seamen as well as workers who provide services for vessels (e.g., welders, electricians, construction workers and repair workers). Examples of vessels include ships, oil rigs, shrimp boats, and most other sea and river based structures.
The Jones Act and the LHWCA / DBA are federal law. Therefore, we have the ability to represent workers in these cases anywhere throughout the country. We help workers who have been injured on the sea as well as all major rivers and waterways within the navigable waters of the U.S. and adjoining land areas.
